A few fun facts
I strive to cultivate soft skills like active listening, empathy, and cultural competence within myself, my team, and amongst stakeholders. I am committed to the cultivation of equity for folks who have been over-exploited by society and its systems. I am an anti-racism and pro-reform, specifically in terms of criminal and environmental justice.

I am a proud native of Appalachia who now resides in San Diego, California.

Melinda Cooper holds a BA in Drama from the University of Virginia and has studied project management through the University of California at Irvine. In addition to her role as Engagement Manager for Rework Work, Melinda is also Co-Producer of the International Shakespeare in Prisons Conference which is a partnership between Shakespeare Behind Bars and Shakespeare at Notre Dame.

She is also a board member of The Mind Body Project, a nonprofit organization offering science-backed mindfulness programs to institutions and individuals. Melinda, a practitioner of mindfulness herself, has completed training through Mindful Schools and is passionate about using mindfulness to enhance communication and collaboration in the workplace.
