I’ve heard it said that, despite substantial distance learning efforts, students of all ages in all locations have essentially lost an entire year of their education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While businesses and other facets of our daily lives start to return to some degree of normalcy, students are still floundering in the academic aftermath of the past 15 months.
With a new school year just around the corner, we wanted this month’s articles to highlight the work that individuals and organizations have been doing to bridge that cavernous academic gap. Perhaps these examples will spur us to do more for the students in our communities.
