April is National Arab Heritage Month (NAHM), a time set aside to honor Arab culture and heritage, as well as the contributions that Arab Americans have made in our country. This month is also when Ramadan is observed, which is a holy month of fasting that Muslims observe to help renew their focus on their spiritual lives. This week’s Simply Good article provides several ways that you can support, encourage, and learn from your Muslim friends and colleagues during this holy celebration.
Also, did you know that approximately one in every five people lives with a mental health issue? In our latest issue of Simply Diversity, we discuss two big challenges in addressing the unconscious (or conscious) bias about mental health, and how to push through them.
Finally, we are so excited to announce that my Unconsicous Bias course on LinkedIn Learning has exceeded one million views! That’s one million people who took a powerful step toward increasing their self-awareness and bettering themselves and their relationships. If you haven’t had a chance, LinkedIn Learning is offering the course for FREE until April 29!
With appreciation,
